When rating a product, I consider price and the integrity of the ad as much a factor as quality.There are numerous versions of this product, including, but not limited to, the MC700, the MC701, the MC702, the MC702Q and the MC703. There is no description of the accessories or the warranty that come with the MC700. While different model numbers may signify different accessories and warranties, the base cooking system is the same. The warranty is generally for one year (some stores and credit cards* offer a supplemental warranty) and the accessories may vary slightly from model to model. The ad should have clearly identified the accessories and the warranty that accompany the MC700 and how it differs from the MC701, the MC702, the MC702Q and the MC703. I had a old versaware by Rival some years ago and over time the crockery cracked. I just gotten rid of a old 20 plus year one my grandparents gave my mom and she gave to me. I loved the idea of being able to sear in this thing here and then switch to the slow cooker mode and to be honest I have had lots of stuff outta crockery and it's good and eh okay but this method of slow cooking is better. the food doesn't all taste alike. you can sear without having to get out the fry pan. transfer all that stuff and lose the nice drippings and flavors the meat would leave behind in a separate pan. This thing is great for us small apartment dwellers. well i collect and have a thing for kitchen gadgets anyhow along with my metal and gaming habit and what not. I happen to think this is a pretty nice and cool kitchen gadget I seen the infomercial and thought hmmm that's just what I have been looking for slow cooker type of...
