It finally quit and I had been looking for a new one at every store I was in. Finally found my new one on Amazon. I wouldn't own anyother brand of slow cooker. Oblong Slow Cooker (CD-ROM) Cooker is light in weight and cleans easily. Get foods up to temperature on stove then move it to the base for long-term slow cooking. Variable temp settings are easy to moniter and the base can be used separately as a small griddle. It was hard to find a slow cooker with this versatility. Oblong Slow Cooker (CD-ROM) We bought this as the replacement for a old West Bend that we've used for 25 years . The price and delivery were very good . The cooker appears to be just a updated better quality version of the original. We have a bigger, heavier , more expensive slow cooker but it does no better than the Focus Electric cooker and is a lot harder to handle and clean.
